Sailing back at Fern Ridge Lake, Oregon

Well, after our adventures in Shanghai we definitely needed some rest and relaxation and what better way than a weekend sailing. Since it had been over 3 weeks since we'd been to the boat it took us an hour of clean up of all the spiders and cobwebs and bird poop and lake slime. With that done we were out in the lake, sails up and gliding thru the wind. Our MacGregor Motorsailer served us well this weekend with the relaxation of sailing and the fun of speeding thru the waves when the winds died. This boat is the best of both worlds for us!

Later we BBQ'd our steaks and watched our movie while rocking gently in the waves. I would have blogged on the boat but I was too busy down-loading pictures from the night before. We can't geek out too much, it's supposed to be relaxing. I swear, if you can't decide on a motor boat or sail boat, the MacGregor Motorsailer is the way to go.
One of my favorite things about it is the space it has for the main bed. We can sit up and read or stretch out and relax.

Craig even took a nap on the couch next to the movable kitchen, with a breeze coming in the front hatch, cooling him off. I love the Magma BBQ, which is extremely efficient with instant heat up time, so be careful! Also the wing seats on both sides of the Captain are a great place to perch while enjoying the ride. (These are extras that we got from Blue Water Yachts.)

We love our boat, can you tell!?
